CHAPTER 15

The evening tea time in the hall of Thakur Haveli had a heavy burden of emotions. The air was thick with unspoken words and pain, all hidden behind the pride and veils of the Thakurs.

In the grand hall of the haveli, Yamini Devi sat on a wooden sofa along with her two sons, Ratnesh and Bhushan, while her three daughters-in-law stood lined up before her like slaves awaiting judgment.
